Sometimes life gets very formulaic. We over calculate our steps. We overzealously measure our every move. We make sure our timing is always right.
We strive for perfection. Every. Single. Time.

But life shouldn't be too exacting. Nor calibrated. It shouldn't be taken too seriously either. Life's a dance! Groove and flow your way through it! π
Whether you've mastered your footwork, or not, sometimes you simply need to just get up, get on the dancefloor of life, and just wing it. π¦

"Wing it" is one from a series of cooing cranes influenced by summers spent in Tokyo back in the 80s. π―π΅ Every time my sisters and I walk past the Kabuki-za Theatre on our way to the Ginza, we wonder about all the singing, dancing, and the spectacular staging that goes in there. Decades later, this is where my wonder meets canvas. π¨
"Wing it" is a celebration of nostalgia, family togetherness, aliveness, and prosperity. β© Every feather is handpainted rice paper and pages from a treasured compendium of Japanese graphic elements. Every golden stroke is both gratitude for those wonder days and yearning to relive them once again. β
